  • What is a guest room?

The definition of a guest room is a room for travellers to rest after their journey. But especially, it is an alternative to the classic hotel room. In a guesthouse there is more of a family atmosphere and the reception is more personal and more authentic.

In beautifully decorated surroundings the guest can feel at home and is able to relax undisturbed and free from any commitments. This, at least, is our goal...We too made this wonderful experience as guests in the past...and so we decided to start on a similar adventure ourselves.

Why did we choose 'theme' rooms?

We wanted each of our 4 guest rooms to be exceptional, to stand out for itself and also to be designed in accordance with its name.

    Why the 4 elements?

A symbiosis of nature and colours ...definitely a challenge...but our wish was to create an atmosphere associated with the 4 elements, fire, air, earth and water in each of the 4 rooms, through the choice of colours and creative design, without being sophisticated nor superficial, but with a twinkle in the eye,.

    Come and see for yourselves!

    Who are we?

We are a family, who after looking in vain to find an ancient bastide (country house) to its taste, decided to start from scratch and build an „old“ stone house equipped with all modern amenities in a small medieval village at the heart of the Côte d'Azur – a refuge in accordance with our dreams, a modern house built according to the ancient traditions of the „Bâtiments de France“.

The two vast stone houses perched on a hill near the Chapelle de la Madeleine offer a breathtaking panoramic view between the sea and the moutains: the peacefulness and serenity of the scenery makes you forget that you are at the heart of the bustling Côte d'Azur.

What's so special about Tourrettes sur Loup?

The village is referred to as the „City of Arts and Violets“. Geographically, it is strategically situated at the heart of the Côte d'Azur, between the mountains and the sea, near to the beaches, to Nice airport (20 minutes) and well known cities such as Nice, Cannes, Monaco and Antibes etc...and on the landside, it opens onto other places of interest such as the „Gorges du Loup“ or the „Col de Vence“. This small medieval village will astound you! We recommend that you visit the website www.tourrettessurloup.com (go to: History and Patrimony) for more details.

In addition to the already mentioned assets of this village, there are numerous museums in the neighbourhood as for example the „ Maeght Foundation“ in Saint-Paul de Vence and the „Fernand Léger Museum“ in Biot as well as superior class restaurants such as „Le Charlot“ in Cagnes-sur-Mer.

The list is long and omissions are unavoidable...

    The rooms

The rooms are situated in the annexe of the bastide on 6,000 m² of ground with a separate entrance and own car park.

A swimming pool exclusively reserved for our guests surrounds the breakfast terrace.

Each room has its own personal note and is equipped with all modern amenities: bathroom with shower, flat screen TV, WiFi, safe, air conditioning, underfloor heating etc...

The romantic garden with its old fashioned layout, like the gardens of our grandmothers, is also typical of the region with its wrought iron furniture, large terra cotta jars etc...
